Queen’s relative ‘ill from blood clots’ after having coronavirus jab

A British princess is reportedly unwell and suffering from blood clots after having the Oxford/AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine.

Princess Michael of Kent, 76, is married to the Queen’s paternal cousin Prince Michael of Kent, 78.

She is now said to be recovering at home following her health struggles, which have been "a worrying time for those around her" according to one source.

The source told The Sun: "The princess has been unwell and has sought medical attention.

"It has been a worrying time for those around her. It has been difficult for those close to her to see her suffering.

"She’s really been through it."

Last November, Princess Michael was diagnosed with Covid and was forced to self-isolate at her home in Kensington Palace, West London, according to The Sun.

Her media spokesman Simon Astaire told The Sun: "I cannot comment on health issues."

It comes following the news last week that people under 40 are to be offered an alternative coronavirus vaccine to the AstraZeneca jab.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) announced a change to its guidance.

AstraZeneca's jab, developed at the University of Oxford, carries with it a slightly increased risk of blood clots (affecting roughly 10 in a million vaccinated people), with an extremely small number proving fatal.

In older age groups the risk is far outweighed by the risk of dying from Covid-19, but for younger people, who are far less likely to become ill and die from the virus, it has been decided that is not the case.

The news also comes a week after Prince Michael of Kent was caught telling undercover reporters for The Times that he could get Vladimir Putin to back their fake gold company for £10,000 a day.

Prince Michael of Kent was accused of being willing to use his royal status for personal profit and seek favours from the Russian president.

The prince denies having any sort of special relationship with Vladimir Putin.
