GB News’ claim that ITV are limiting Farage’s airtime branded ‘nonsense’

On TV channel GB News, where Farage normally hosts a show, claims have been made that conversations about former US president Trump were dumped by producers.

Farage and Trump are friends and have been pictured together a number of times when meeting to discuss business.

GB News went on to suggest that “ITV execs are making a conscious effort to limit Farage’s screen time”.

An ITV source said the claims were untrue and added: “This is nonsense. Even if he has mentioned Trump, we can’t feature every single camp conversation – there’s just not enough screen hours in the day.

“We’re an entertainment show, we can’t show everything, it’s that simple.”

Farage began the series getting a lot of airtime as he was chosen to do bush tucker trials. But he has been exempt from some more recent ones, and also has been getting less votes from the public since he was shown saying he wanted to do trials to “get 25% more airtime”.

An ITV spokesman said: “We’re a 60-75 minute Entertainment show, it is always our intention to show a fair and accurate representation of life in camp.”

GB News are covering I’m A Celebrity in great depth, focusing on their man Farage.

It is thought once vote lines open and contestants begin to be evicted, they will also support their man and encourage their viewers to vote to save Farage and keep him in camp.

It is thought Farage’s team will use a sophisticated campaign in a bid to make him king of the jungle. Farage successfully won a TRIC award earlier this year, utilising mass voting by his followers and fans, to beat Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan to the prestigious News Presenter Of The Year award.
