Woman ‘raped in horror attack in park near playground as man arrested’ | The Sun
A WOMAN has been raped in a horror attack in a park near a playground.
Cops in Manchester have arrested a man after the attack in Stockport.
Police have taped off all entrances to Thornfield Park in Heaton Mersey and an officer is standing guard on Balmoral road.
It's thought the woman was attacked at around 5.30am this morning.
A police spokesperson said: "At around 5:30am on Thursday 25 August 2022 we were called to a report of a rape on Priestnall Road, Heaton Mersey.
"The woman is currently being supported by specially trained officers at this time as enquiries are ongoing. A man has been arrested on a suspicion of rape and is in custody.
"Any information or details that can shared with Police can be done so by calling 101 quoting incident 481 of the 25/08/22."
