Woman, 36, fighting for life after being stabbed in wealthy London suburb

A WOMAN is fighting for her life in hospital today after she was knifed at a home in an affluent London suburb.

Cops have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder after horror unfolded in Dulwich, south-east of the capital, just before 10.10pm.

The man remains in custody today.

A spokesperson from the Met Police said cops were called to reports of a stabbing at a property in Lordship Lane.

"Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service," he said.

"A 36-year-old woman was found with stab injuries and taken to hospital.

"She remains in a life-threatening condition.

"A man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

"He has been taken into custody at a south London police station.

"A crime scene remains in place and enquiries are ongoing."
