A California woman and her 21-year-old lover have been arrested for the murder of her husband outside his Hayward home in October.

Razma Mohammad-Ibrahim, 35, and Samim Azizi, 21, are accused of stabbing Mohammed-Ibrahim’s husband Parwiz Assar, 51, to death outside his home near Lance Way and Tucker Street.

Hayward Police found Assar with stab wounds after responding to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon. He was declared dead by medical personnel at the scene.

Authorities pulled together a tranche of internet searches, text messages, phone records, surveillance footage and even a haunting post on Mohammed-Ibrahim’s Instagram account, as evidence against the pair.

Mohammed-Ibrahim had posted Selena Gomez’s song ‘Single Soon’ to her Instagram account the same day Assar was killed, Mercury News reported.

Text messages uncovered Mohammed-Ibrahim and Azizi’s affair, as well as serious marital problems between Mohammed-Ibrahim and Assar.

The couple had been married for twelve years before Mohammad-Ibrahim and Azizi met around December of 2022 and allegedly became romantically involved.

Authorities believe the couple orchestrated the attack to allow Razma to leave her marriage, ‘have full custody of her children, and have all the family assets.’

Text messages between the lovers included a discussion about how ‘strong’ the knife Azizi had selected the day before the killing.

According to police Azizi also texted Mohammed-Ibrahim a picture of himself hiding in a bush outside the married couple’s Hayward home, shortly before police say he leapt out and stabbed Assar repeatedly.

‘Look where I am,’ he allegedly texted Mohammed-Ibrahim.

‘Be careful,’ she is reported to have replied.

The stabbing itself, showing a masked man spring from the bushes and attack Assar, was caught on the property’s Ring camera.

Razma Mohammed-Ibrahim reportedly found her husband’s body and ran to her neighbors’ door telling them they needed to call 911.

Hours later Mohammed-Ibrahim agreed to an interview at the Hayward police station where she reportedly denied the couple had marital problems or that they’d argued over her having an affair.

However, police say their records show that just two weeks prior, Hayward officers had been called to the home for a domestic disturbance.

A friend of Assar’s later came forward, telling investigators Assar had asked if he could stay at his home, fearing that his wife was planning to attack him, police said in court records.

21-year-old Samim Azizi was arrested in Seattle, Washington and is being held without bail at the King County Jail and awaiting extradition to California.

Mohammed-Ibrahim was taken into custody in Hayward and is being held without bail at the Santa Rita County Jail, records state. She is next due in court in December.
