The freelance make-up artist, who lives in Manchester, can be heard shouting to passersby, who were doing the Christmas shopping, outside that they needed assistance.

Sarah shouts: ‘We’ve been locked in the bank. We don’t work here!’

She then tried to call Barclays and said: ‘How do you leave people? What sort of security breach is that?’

The video then cuts to a call with Greater Manchester Police where she claims the pair had a booking and were left trapped inside as security locked them inside.

She adds: I just told them what happened. We had a booking and they’ve gone and locked everywhere.’

Barclays security then got back in touch and a man can be heard saying: ‘We are obviously trying to get you out there as soon as possible

‘The alarms will then try to activate at 9 o’clock but we will try and get you out before then.

‘All we can do is apologise that this has happened. We are trying to get it resolved for you and we will keep you guys informed.’

Sarah joked: ‘We are really hungry, can they bring food?’

Renita Ruta (left) and Sarah Agbiji (right) joked in the video that despite being left for two hours, police didn’t give them the food they mentioned on the phone

The man replied: ‘We will bring you a pizza.’

She said: ‘My friend can’t eat cheese, she’s lactose intolerant.’

Sarah also filmed a tour of the bank – which she also posted to TikTok and got over 12,000 views.

She added: ‘We got forgotten upstairs. It’s a really nice Barclays.’

After the two hour wait, a worker with a key arrived and the pair were set free after their two-hour wait and Sarah joked that the police didn’t provide any food.

Sarah added: ‘Oh my God, yes yes yes. We are outside Barclays bye.’

MailOnline has contacted Barclays for comment.
