Tragic boy, 5, dies just a MONTH after his dad leaving mum heartbroken

A MUM has told of her heartache after her five-year-old son died – a month after his dad also sadly passed away.

Lisa Silvester's beloved son, Jayden-Jay Silvester, known as JJ, passed away in hospital on December 31.

The youngster's death came as Lisa was still mourning the loss of her partner and JJ's dad, Jason Silvester, 38, who died on November 27.

In a statement, devastated Lisa said: "JJ passed away on December 31. He was a very loving brother to Oscar, a loving son to Lisa, and a loving son to Jason, who sadly passed away on November 27.

"JJ attended Newstead Primary Academy and they were his second family who love and miss him along with his school friends who JJ made smile every day.

"JJ will be sadly missed, and forever in everybody's thoughts."

Paramedics were called to the youngster's home in Newstead, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs, just before 4.30 on the afternoon of New Year's Eve.

He later passed away at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Staffordshire Police said they are not treating Jayden-Jay's death as suspicious.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a medical emergency at an address in Newstead.

Emotional tribute to 'beautiful' paramedic, 21, killed in ambulance crash

"We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car with two critical care paramedics onboard.

"Crews arrived to find a boy in a critical condition. He was treated at the scene and en route to the Royal Stoke University Hospital on blue lights and sirens."

Friends and family have rallied around Lisa, launching a fundraising appeal in a bid to relieve some of the financial burden in the wake of the double tragedy.

Appeal organiser Kayleigh Lambert-Reynolds said: "We can never bring JJ back and never relieve Lisa's emotional burden but we can all pitch in to try to relieve the financial one to show our support and give Lisa something positive.

"All donations will go to JJ's memory as well as his little brother Oscar. I know Lisa is overwhelmed by the messages and support."

JJ’s dad, Jason. was pronounced dead by paramedics at the family's home shortly after 11am on November 27.

An inquest into his death was adjourned last week, with a full inquest scheduled for later this month.
