A tiny studio flat in London with the bed inches from a make-shift kitchen is available to rent at £862 a month – more than a three bedroom home in the North East.
In contrast the Northumberland property, in the village of Seaton Delaval, boasts three beds, a living room, dining room, kitchen and conservatory for the bargain price of £795 per month.
But London renters could actually be getting a bargain in the sought after Swiss Cottage area as the average rent for a one bedroom flat in this location is £1,757 per month.
The one bedroom Swiss Cottage flat also comes with a single bed and a table and chair, has its kitchen at the foot of the bed, features a small sink, a mini fridge, and hob as well as a microwave.
Estate agent at Berns & Co, West Hampstead, said: ‘It’s a standard studio flat, there’s nothing more to say.’
