Teacher mistakenly shared explicit pic of himself thinking Twitter was ‘private’

A bungling teacher accidentally shared an X-rated snap of himself on Twitter which he thought was private.

The unnamed man is has been investigated from his bosses at Cherwell School in Oxford after a 'shocked' parent took a screenshot oh his explicit pose.

Despite the photo of his exposed private part being posted in 2020, it is only now that the teacher has come under fire with the image coming to light at around half-term last month.

The teacher who holds a senior position at the school, mistakenly believed that the Twitter account was private and only approved followers could see the content.

Unfortunately for him a parent stumbled upon the image which left them ‘shocked’ enough to screenshot it as evidence.

Cherwell School said 'appropriate action' was then taken but did not give detail of what that was.

The parent, who has a daughter taking GCSEs, said: “He is posting really inappropriate content on his Twitter which was open.

"I reported it to the school who said it breached their social media policy but nothing more happened.

“This is by people that are supposed to be looking after children. It’s an abuse of power.”

The school said it cannot confirm that the teacher was disciplined.

A Cherwell School spokesperson said: "The school was made aware of an inappropriate post on a staff member’s social media account.

"An investigation was carried out in line with school and River Learning Trust policies and appropriate action was taken."
