Ryanair boss has ‘no problem banning idiot anti-vaxxers’ from flights amid Covid
The CEO of Ryanair has declared he has no issue with banning “idiot” anti-vaxxers from flying with his airline.
Michael O’Leary's company is already flying 10 million people in December instead of a forecast 11 million and is set to cut by an additional 10 per cent in January – but the CEO says he has no issue with taking more of a hit.
Although his airline isn’t going to ban unvaccinated people from boarding flights, O'Leary believed the government should introduce a blanket ban on flying without a vaccine, Dublin Live reports,
The boss of the low-cost carrier told the Telegraph: “I don’t think that governments should permit those people who are not vaccinated to go and infect everybody else.
“You can sit at home and get your deliveries of medicines and food. But you should not go to work or go on public transport unless you have a vaccine certificate.
“We recognise the rights of everybody to decide not to get vaccinated if you so want.
"If you personally object to vaccination, because it’s some huge government or big pharma conspiracy, apart from the fact that you would be plainly an idiot, we respect your right to be an idiot.”
“I have no difficulty in saying to people, you can fly, but you have to be vaccinated.

“The huge majority of the population that has done the sensible, the caring, the protective thing for the community and gotten vaccinated, should not be restricted.
“But governments should place increasing restrictions [on the unjabbed] while recognising the rights of everybody.
“If you want to be unvaccinated, that’s fine, but we should increasingly not allow those to go to work, to travel on the Underground, to fly, to go to the supermarket, to go to pharmacies.”
The news comes just days after O'Leary slammed Prime Minister Boris Johnson over his handling of the Omicron variant as he claimed the UK economy was suffering from “p*s-poor political leadership”.

The CEO compared the UK’s policies on Omicron to Europe and said the UK had “mismanaged” the crisis. O’Leary said the UK response was shaped by “panic”.
Speaking to The Guardian, O’Leary said: “The panic (over Omicron) is largely confined to the UK and Ireland. Across the continent, there’s been a much more reasoned approach.
“Where it’s really hit us has been the early weeks of December, bookings in and out of Ireland and the UK. The rest of the continent is still travelling for business and for leisure.”
