Princess Charlotte’s non-royal school name so she’s just a ‘normal’ pupil
Prince William and Kate Middleton try their best to allow their children to experience a regular childhood and one of those ways is leaving royal titles at the school gates.
Princess Charlotte during her time at Thomas's Battersea in south London, before moving to Lambrook School in Berkshire, was given a different name to mask her royal status.
As reported by the Mirror, insiders say the Wales children are treated just like everyone else as soon as they walk through those school gates.

Kate and William fully support this idea because they desperately want their kids to have as 'normal' a childhood as possible
Prince Charlotte’s name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, and her full official title is Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
However, to not make her standout from the other pupils, the royal youngster adopts their parents title as a surname.
This means in school the Princess would have been known as Charlotte Cambridge and maybe now Charlotte Wales at her new school since her parents title was upgraded.

The same happened to George during his time at the school.
The Prince is known as George Alexander Louis and His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, but goes by George Cambridge in school.
This is not a new process for royal children and is something their father William and his brother Harry adopted during their education.
Both William and Harry used King Charles's title at the time – Wales – as their surname.

The royal brothers also used it during their military careers as well.
Charlotte also has two nicknames given to her by her parents.
William once called out to his daughter at the Royal Chelsea Flower Show saying 'Mignonette', which is a French word said to mean "small, sweet, and delicate" or "cute".
Also Kate has been revealed to call her daughter – Lottie after an official trip to Northern Ireland in 2019. It was overheard by a mum called Laura-Ann and her son.
