Prince Harry ‘to burn it all down’ in book just like his parents, claims expert

Prince Harry could try to "burn it all down" in his new book – just like his parents did, an expert has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex has this week revealed he has secretly been working with top ghostwriter J. R. Moehringer on a memoir.

Set to be released in late 2022, Harry has said he is writing it "not as the prince I was born but as the man, I have become".

And now, royal commentator Kristen Meinzer, presenter of When Meghan Met Harry: A Royal Weddingcast, has said the idea for a memoir that "will tear his family apart" may not have come from wife Meghan Markle but from Harry's parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

She wrote on Twitter: "The UK tabloids are accusing #MeghanMarkle of manipulating #PrinceHarry into writing a memoir that will tear his family apart. But I'm guessing he didn't get the idea from her. Lest we forget, Charles collaborated w/Jonathan Dimbleby on his own scathing tell-all back in 1994.

"In it, Charles talked frankly about how his father bullied him & both parents were "emotionally distant." He made clear he was still scarred. He provided Dimbleby with hours of sit-down interviews & 10,000 diary entries & private letters (including ones to both Di & Camilla).

"Charles also collaborated with Dimbleby on a tell-all television interview. In the immediate aftermath of its broadcast, a Sun telephone poll found two-thirds of callers believed him unfit to be king.

"Of course, Di also collaborated on a tell-all, w/Andrew Morton in 1992. And she did not hold back.

"Perhaps Harry will be more reserved in his memoir. Or maybe he'll try to burn it all down, as his parents did back in the day. Regardless, Meghan isn't to blame if he does. He learned about how to take down the royal family long ago…from none other than the royal family."

A press release from publisher Penguin Random House reads: "In an intimate and heartfelt memoir from one of the most fascinating and influential global figures of our time, Prince Harry will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.
