Pregnant Brit mum stabbed after school run by TikTok knifeman ‘lying in wait’

A heavily pregnant mum who had just finished the school run was stabbed by a man "lying in wait" after he shared menacing TikTok videos about she and her kids.

South Wales Police rushed to an incident in Moy Road, Aberfan, south Wales, at around 9.10am on Tuesday. They confirmed a 29-year-old woman was stabbed and her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. The attack prompted several schools to go into lockdown.

The woman has now been named as Andreea Pintilli from Romania. The Mirror reported locals as saying she had moved to the village recently after being involved in a domestic abuse case in England.

Andreea, who is 37-weeks-pregnant, was reportedly knifed twice in the back as she tried to sheild her unborn child. The Times reported she survived being stabbed 'at least five times' with a large knife.

Speaking to Sky News, a witness said: "She ran towards me screaming. He knocked her to the floor and stabbed her twice in the back.

"He proceeded to go for her again but she moved because she was pregnant and was protecting that baby."

After a seven-hour manhunt police arrested a 28-year-old man originally from Romania and living in Merthyr, who is known to the victim, and who can't be named for legal reasons.

Yesterday morning before the attack the suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, shared a music video on TikTok with breakup lyrics in Romanian.

"Be sure that karma will not forgive you," the lyrics read. "You think it's your right to hurt me so much. I won't judge you, God will."

The suspect also reportedly pinned videos of Andreea where he talked of his 'agony'. He also shared clips of her two children, which he captioned 'only memories remain'.

Her ex Teodor Balan, 34 who is also father to her two children, said that he was 'so worried' about Andreea.

"She is a very good mother, she is looking after the children very well. It was difficult for her to bring up two children while working part time [at Home Bargains]," he said.

"She called me in the morning. I'm still friends with her. I helped her move her stuff, and helped her paint. We moved just over a week ago."
