A YouTuber known for his "penis enlargement" videos has been found dead naked from the waist down in his apartment.

Police are now investigating the mystery death of popular American YouTuber Laith Abdallah Algaz, 34, better known to fans of the channel as Leo Rex.

He was discovered dead by police in a ransacked apartment in Pattaya, Thailand on January 30, at least four hours after his death, The Mirror reported.

The 34-year-old was found dead by attending officers who noted the man was wearing only a black shirt and had been naked from the waist down, lying face down and leaking blood from his mouth and nose.

Officers also reported a bruise on the left eye of Algaz, whose clothes were scattered around the destroyed apartment which had been the scene of an apparent raid.

The Colorado-born YouTuber was pronounced dead at the scene, with officers finding a collection of drugs including sleeping pills, cannabis, antidepressants, steroids and anxiety tablets.

They also noted that the apartment's bathroom had been ransacked, with shelves and the toilet destroyed in the apparent raid.

Friend of Algaz and American national Charles Anthony Hughes, 40, had visited the house after the vlogger failed to answer calls, but was shocked upon discovering the half-naked body of the 34-year-old.

Charles added that the 34-year-old, who had amassed 123,000 subscribers on a YouTube channel called Leo and Longevity, would often stay at home on the computer and smoke cannabis.

Algaz's most viewed videos on the account were those relating to penis enlargement, with his "How to Build a Better Penis" video receiving 492,000 views.

Another friend of Laith, Aicha Humera Rattanaphan, 25, said: "The dead body was found by his friends after they were unable to contact him. The door was locked so they used the spare key to get inside before finding the body."

Police Captain Sombat Kaewmulsuk added: "We will be interrogating the victim's friends, and a woman who had stayed with him before he died. We urge the public not to jump to any conclusions until a complete examination has been done."

Captain Kaewmulsuk did not rule out foul play as police investigations into the death continue.
