Meghan and Harry’s quest for ‘privacy’ with Archie branded ‘codswallop’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to step down as senior members of the royal family has been branded the "biggest Royal sellout in the history of the family.

Royal biographer, Duncan Larcombe, also claims it will spell "potential catastrophe" for likes or Prince William and Kate Middleton after the Sussexes agreed lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify.

Over the last year, Meghan and Harry have worked to build a brand separate to that of the royal lineage.

But speaking on True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat, Larcombe claimed Meghan and Harry’s work may out-shine the traditional royal duties of Prince William.

He also suggested the reasoning behind why the couple stepped back was "codswallop".

Mr Larcombe told the Royal Beat podcast: “A year ago they (Harry and Meghan) were saying they want privacy and to bring their child up in peace – Codswallop!

"We now know what it is. The evidence is there."

He added: "What Harry and Meghan have done over the past 12 months is sow seeds which will spell potential catastrophe to the Royal Family.”

Citing an example, Larcombe said: "When 50million people are watching Harry’s chat about organic yoghurt or whatever it is that he wants to promote, and 5,000 people are watching his brother – Prince William, the future King – do a royal engagement, opening a supermarket in Hemel Hempstead or whatever – that is when it becomes a problem."

Touching on the couple's first Archewell Audio podcast, in which their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor made an appearance, Larcombe claimed Meghan and Harry used the one-year-old as "clickbait."

He also said that Prince Harry could become a "billion heir Royal" in the wake of Megxit.

Mr Larcombe said: "Because there is money involved, it isn’t a charitable thing.

"What a surprise (that) more family silver is out for sale – let’s use Archie as clickbait.

"Maybe Harry is going to be the Billion heir royal."

Daily Star has approached Meghan and Harry's representatives for a response.
