I’m 11 & I’m making a fortune selling Prime drinks… my dad says I’m a mini Alan Sugar | The Sun

A SCHOOLBOY is a 'little Alan Sugar' flogging bottles of Prime from his backpack at three times the price.

Go-getter Bertie Jones, 11, has made £500 in five weeks selling the sought-after energy drink as shops sell out around the country.

Bertie flogs the drink at £7 a pop and keeps a record of his profits, turnover and total sales on a notepad.

The Year 7 pupil also sells Prime in a two for £10 offer.

Bertie has so far made over £500 selling Prime at three times its original value.

Bertie told The Sun: "My Prime is selling so quickly I can barely keep up.

"I'm being asked for it at school, after school, at the weekends just all the time at every hour of the day.

My Prime is selling so quickly I can barely keep up.

"I've even got pre-orders coming in.

"It's amazing and it's a lot of fun, I feel like i'm achieving something big, something other 11-year-olds just wouldn't do.

“Prime won’t stay popular forever but for the meantime I’ll be selling it.

MINI AL

The Sun previously told how another school boy Charlie Smith bagged a profit selling empty bottles of Prime.

Bertie wakes up at 6am every day to buy his stock from a local shop before taking them to be sold at school.

He also sells on Facebook Marketplace using his dad’s account for higher prices, while also using his dad as a taxi driver for his new venture.

The 11-year-old's wanted to save up enough money to buy a VR Oculus headset.

Proud Dad Leigh, 40, a music business owner from Chichester, West Sussex, says his son is a little Alan Sugar.

He said: “Bertie’s an avid YouTube watcher and he’s been following KSI for a couple of years.

“He saw the Prime hype before it actually happened more mainstream and he took advantage of it.

He’s like a little Alan Sugar… except it’s an energy drink and it’s out of a backpack.

“He’s like a little Alan Sugar, I know that’s how he got his start by selling on electrical goods out of a van and Bertie’s like that except it’s an energy drink and it’s out of a backpack.”

Bertie added: "Right now I don't know what I'll do with the money.

"I've made over £500 so far since December, so the business is going really well.

"I like making money and I want to help people, so I may donate some to charity and then stay on top of what's trending and buy that and sell for profit."

PRIME TIME

Prime was originally sold for £1.99 before videos of YouTube stars Logal Paul and KSI promoting the drink went viral.

The drink has been marked up by shops and sold for five times the price at an off-license in Surrey while another shop in Blackburn sells the drink for £8.50.

It  has even been flogged for upwards of £50,000 on eBay.

Logal Paul and KSI advertise their drink Prime Hydration brand as "when rivals come together as brothers and business partners to fill the void where great taste meets function".
