Heartbreak as body found in search for boy, 17, who went missing from home four months ago | The Sun

A BODY has been discovered in a search for a missing teenager who went vanished four months ago.

Freddy, 17, was last seen leaving his family farm in Stolford, Somerset, at 10am on September 20, last year.

Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed a member of the public found the human remains on the North Somerset coastline on January 30.

A formal identification of the body has yet to take place but detectives on the missing person case believe the remains are Freddy’s.

More than 100 officers have been involved in the desperate search for Freddy.

Cops have been supported by the coastguard, RNLI and BARB Search and Rescue.

Detective Inspector Claire Millington said: “This is not the news we wanted to deliver to Freddy’s family and our thoughts are very much with them at this difficult time.

“We’d like to thank the public for all their calls and help with our appeals as we continued to hope he would be found safe.

“We’d also like to thank all our partners for their support in the search.

"While the cause of death is unexplained pending a port-mortem examination, we do not believe it to be suspicious.
