Prince Harry has been accused of "wanting to move back to the UK" and told to "stay away" by disgruntled royal fans after the Duke said his home is in the US "for the time being".

The Duke of Sussex made the comment during a conversation on the Today show during his attendance at the Invictus Games this week in The Hague, Netherlands.

Harry said: "Home for me now is, for the time being, it's in the States. And it really feels that way as well.

"We've been welcomed with open arms and we've got such a great community up in Santa Barbara."

Royal fans have been reading in to the Duke's comments and claimed it shows Harry and Meghan want to move back to the UK.

One fan wrote: "It’s so obvious that they want back they can’t cut it in America without the royal connections everyone has snubbed them from celebrities to the president.

"They are probably hoping the Queen will make another statement that she wants the Sussex’s back in the firm.

"The public will not have a choice as usual our opinion doesn’t matter to the royal family."

Royal fans have been speaking out against the couple returning to the UK full time claiming that the "UK doesn't want them".

"The pair of them should stay away from the UK," said one disgruntled fan.

A second said: "We don’t want you back."

A third rudely claimed: "He and his Kim Kardashian doppelganger of a wife will never be accepted back here."

The pair secretly jetted into the UK so they could have a face-to-face meeting with the monarch on Thursday after last month snubbing Prince Philip's memorial service.

The couple also got to catch up with Prince Charles, in a visit that stunned spectators outside Windsor Castle – as well as royal aides, who were reported to be as in the dark as everyone else.

It is the first time Meghan has set foot in the UK for two years, since she and husband Harry sensationally quit as working royals.

Representatives for the Duke of Sussex have been contacted for comment.
