Everything Meghan says ‘sounds like a decorative plaque in TK Maxx’, says expert
Meghan Markle's speech at the One Young World summit was her first in the UK since her dramatic exit from the Royal Family – but one royal expert compared her words to those found in retail chain TK Maxx.
The Duchess of Sussex was accompanied by her husband Prince Harry to the Manchester event, which was attended by over 2000 young leaders from 202 countries, and was the keynote speaker there.
During her speech she talked about how she became involved in the One Young World project as well as how her world perspective changed once she became a mother, but expert Kinsey Schofield said she spent "the majority of the time talking about herself".

"Meghan is a great public speaker," the To Di For Daily podcast host said.
"Unfortunately, she spends the majority of the time talking about herself. She's more of a hype girl than a thought leader of substance.
She added: "Everything she says sounds like it could be seen on a decorative plaque inside a TK Maxx."
Meghan and Harry are currently in Europe on a philanthropic tour – after the One Young World summit they will head to Germany to promote the Invictus Games before returning to London.
When asked whether she thought this would help to heal their public image, Kinsey was adamant.
"When Harry and Meghan attack the institution that has given them these platforms, the public feels personally attacked," she said.

"Royal watchers are not stupid. The Sussexes are using these opportunities to elevate themselves and the brand that they are now monetizing."
She added: "Meghan had the opportunity to inspire and ignite a passion in the young people that she spoke in front of today and instead chose to obsess over her own imposter syndrome."
"Why not ask the audience what they are doing on social media to build communities that are passionate about change? […] Or spotlight some of the young people sitting in the audience that have gotten on the organization's radar with unique initiatives?
"Instead, Meghan provides no examples of her positive impact on the world."
Harry and Meghan officially left the Royal Family in 2020 and relocated to Montecito, California, where they are raising their two children.
The pair don't make the trip back to the UK often – the last time they returned was in June for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Their fraught relationship with the Firms has been made more strained by a number of tell-all interviews performed since the pair stepped down from their royal roles, the latest of which took place only last week with Allison P. Davis for The Cut.
