Eerie mystery of Boeing 737 plane randomly left sitting in a field in Bali

The sudden appearance of an abandoned Boeing 737 plane is yet to be explained.

It has been left in a field in Bali with locals unable to figure out why it has been ditched there.

The mysterious aircraft turned up in the field at a limestone quarry by the popular Pandawa Beach on the well-heeled southern tip of the island.

It is positioned near the Nusa Dua Selatan highway but, as yet, nobody has come forward to claim responsibility for the plane or been able to offer an explanation as to how it got there and why it is still there.

Fencing has been put up around the plane so it can only be seen from an elevated viewpoint with the plan to prevent curious people from intruding and trying to get inside the intriguing aircraft.

But it is still becoming a prime destination for social media influencers and personalities, as well as YouTube vloggers, who are all looking to rack up hits on their various platforms by capturing footage and carrying out explorative investigations.

Unsurprisingly, in the absence of an explanation as to who owns the plane and why they put it there, speculation and theories are beginning to surface regarding its possible origins.

The rumour that has gathered the most support is the feasible idea that a wealthy businessman has bought the plane and decided to dump it in its present location.

There has been further conjecture, meanwhile, that the intention was to create an excitingly unique dining experience with the plane being converted into a restaurant.

People who support that view have also suggested that the owner ran out of the cash they needed to finish the project and they have subsequently decided to leave it where it is for good or until they can find more financial reserves.
