Car believed involved in fatal hit-and-run crash is found in Aurora

A vehicle believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Aurora has been located, police said.

The suspect vehicle, a black 2006 Dodge Magnum, was found unoccupied in the 900 block of South Dearborn Way, police said on Wednesday.

The incident happened at about 6 p.m. on Dec. 26 in the 19000 block of East Montview Boulevard, according to police. Officers found a 28-year-old man lying in the street with severe injuries. He was taken to a local hospital where he died. The victim, a pedestrian, was hit by an eastbound vehicle on Montivew and the driver did not stop. An investigation is ongoing.
