A bomb disposal police unit has arrived at the Audi Dome in Munich after the venue was evacuated following a bomb threat.

Heiko Niedderer, a sports journalist at the German newspaper Bild, revealed that attendees were “cleared” from the Audi Dome on social media.

Writing on Twitter, Mr Niedderer said: “JHV Bayern just over – suddenly there is a bomb threat, the hall has to be cleared!”

In subsequent updates, the Bayern Munich and German national team reporter added: “Police come, soon explosives experts.

“Sonderkommando is coming. Mood tense.
