Bloke tricks airport staff with fake injury and boards plane in wheelchair

A bloke presumably sick of queues and standing in them has done the unthinkable and faked an injury to get himself boarded quicker.

If that weren't bad enough, the holidaymaker was so convincing he ended up being boarded onto his flight from a wheelchair given to him by airport staff.

A fake sprain of the ankle saw Wolf Jenkins fast tracked to his flight from a Turkish airport, where staff pushed him around in a wheelchair, usually reserved for the genuinely injured.

The 28-year-old claimed he had injured his ankle on the way to the airport when asked if he had a fit to fly form in a now viral TikTok.

As convincing an excuse it was, all it took for Jenkins to secure a seat on wheels was to take his sock and shoe off and then ask staff members at Bodrum airport to fetch him a wheelchair.

For the remainder of his time there, Jenkins was pushed around by staffers who were none the wiser to his antics, with the "injured" passenger filming his escapades and uploading them to TikTok.

It seems his fake injury was a success, if it can be called that, with Jenkins and his friends given rows to themselves aboard the flight so the wheelchair user could stretch his legs.

Speaking of the incident, Jenkins said: "When we arrived at the airport the queue was out of the door and we knew we would have missed our flight. I saw people in wheelchairs being pushed through so my friend waited in the queue and I went outside and took off my shoe and sock.

"I then limped back towards the door and a member of staff asked me if I needed assistance so I said I had twisted my ankle at the hotel just before getting into my taxi.

"I was then ushered through security and to check in immediately and they asked me if I had a fit to fly form but I said I have only just done it and that I could walk if necessary."

Reactions to the now-viral TikTok clip were mixed, with LADBible reporting some hailing the "smart" actions while others criticising Jenkins for "pretending to need a wheelchair."
