This is the moment a woman with a frying pan was filmed on a rampage causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage to the alcohol aisles in a branch of Tesco.

The shocking footage shows a woman, identified as Toni Green, 50, smashing up the booze aisle of the Tesco in South Wigston, Leicester on March 8 using the kitchen utensil, while holding a second pan in her other hand.

Red wine splurges all over the floor as staff look on in disbelief as the woman walks backwards to take a massive swing at the bottles of wine stacked on the shelves.

The video, which by Monday morning had 239,000 views, was recorded by a witness who then posted it to TikTok.

He captioned it, saying the incident ‘had me shook’.

Ms Sansome said: ‘I heard smashing thought something had fallen of the shelf; I poked my head around the corner and the lady was going nuts smashing all the alcohol while staff just watched.

‘Tesco workers are instructed to not get involved in any conflict for safety reasons.’

Green, from Wigston, appeared at Leicester Magistrates Court charged with criminal damage where the matter was resolved with a community order – meaning she will have to carry out community service or receive treatment instead of a custodial term.

The clip shows red wine splurged all over the floor as staff look on in disbelief, watching Green as she walks backwards to take a massive swing at the bottles of wine stacked on the shelves.

A sign above clearly reads ‘Wines and Spirits.’

Meanwhile those who saw the video pondered why the woman was so angry.

One said: ‘Must have seen the prices of stuff in Tesco.’

Another said: ‘Give her a break, she’s given up the drink for Lent. Not an easy thing to do, you know!’

Another added: ‘She’s certainly raising spirits!’

And another added: ‘Did she forget her Clubcard?’

Meanwhile one joked: ‘Is she my online shopping picker ?’
