Awkward moment cop is mistaken for stripper as he tries to shut down rowdy party

A hilarious video has captured the moment a police officer was greeted by cheers to 'strip' after arriving at a wild house party he was trying to shut down.

The cop was seen looking red-faced as he stood in the doorway as a group women crowded around him chanting "stripper, stripper!" But the bloke wasn't there to get his kit off for the ladies.

He had actually been called to the scene to shut down a noisy party. The officer looked sheepish and was smiling awkwardly as he continues to talk to the partygoers as they try to twerk on him.

A video of the incident has since been shared on social media by @alisabyquar, gaining more than 2,000 likes. In the caption, she wrote: "When the cops rock up to shut down your event but you all think he's a stripper."

TikTok users found the video hilarious as they took to the comments to poke fun at the situation. One user said: "Guy's highlight of his career."

Another added: "The way he ended up just leaving because everyone started twerking around him." A third wrote: "Poor bloke."

A fourth commented: "Not him being hella flustered." But perhaps more embarrassing for the officer, one woman in the comments believes she recognises him.

She wrote: "Omfg hang on, ima ask my man if this guy worked at his station. I swear I've seen him before." To which, the poster wrote: "If he works in Sydney City then it's probably him."

New South Wales Police have been contacted by the Daily Star for comment but they declined to provide one on this instance as it happens often with noise complaints.

The news comes after a cop was apparently been outed as an OnlyFans model last week after she pulled over a driver who subscribed to her content.

According to FOX 9 Minneapolis, the Minneapolis PD officer is now being investigated by the department to determine if she broke any policy or guidelines by working as an erotic model. The officer is said to be a 'well-respected cop and has been recognized for her police work'. But her side hustle has landed her in hot water.
