‘Ancient blood bath ritual’ Vladimir Putin ‘uses to boost his sex drive’
Russia’s hardman leader is alleged to immerse himself in bathtubs full of deer blood in an ancient ritual that acts as a "natural viagra" and increases testosterone.
Maral deer have their antlers sawed off and drained of blood in the practice which is slammed as “barbarian” by animal rights campaigners.
But the leader, who is overseeing an invasion of Ukraine, it is claimed, makes “several” visits to the Altai Mountains a year to participate in the practice, Russian media reports.
The mountain range, which boasts a scenic mountain range featuring lakes and valleys, plus national parks with diverse wildlife, spreads across several countries including Russia.
Putin allegedly has a luxury hi-tech bunker located in the Altai Mountains. It was reportedly designed for protection in the event of nuclear war.
Political scientist Valery Solovey, 61, claimed at the start of March that the Russian President has hidden his family members in an "underground city" there, as he focussed on invading Ukraine.
"At the weekend, President Putin's family was evacuated to a special bunker prepared in case of nuclear war,' said the professor in a video on March 1.
"This bunker is located in the [mountainous] Altai Republic.
"In fact, it is not a bunker, but a whole underground city, equipped with the latest science and technology."
Putin allegedly first become interested in the “medicinal benefits” of the deer blood practice over a decade ago, reported Republic.
Chernobyl suffers complete blackout sparking fears radiation could spread across Europe
Ahead of a visit to the Altai Mountains last year, some 70 kilograms of stag antlers were prepared for the Russian leader "to take antler baths", reported local media outlet kapitalist.tv.
He consulted maral blood medical expert Alexander Zuykov about the benefits of bathing in the deer blood, it's alleged.
It is also claimed his former prime minister Dmitry Medvedev also enjoys a dip in blood.

One Altai farm – which exports antlers for use in Chinese medicinal cures – states: "Extract from red deer antlers acts as a strong tonic, especially for men's potency.
"It strengthens the body's bones, muscles, teeth, eyesight, and hearing, cures pleurisy, pneumonia, asthma, joint pain, osteoporosis, and problems with the spine.”
Antlers were dubbed “horns of gold” in 15th century Russian folklore and are said to improve sexual performance.
Animal rights campaigners have slammed the practice as cruel and branded the ritual as “medieval”.
Deer are alive when their antlers are cut from their heads, with activists describing the creature's eyes “bulging with fright”.
The blood is then drained into cups, boiled into a “broth” and then used to make the gory bathes.
Irina Novozhilova, president of Russian Animal Protection Centre, said: "It is a pure example of a cruel attitude to animals."
"It is strange that we are discussing this matter in the 21st century, because the faith in the effectiveness of this medicine made from antlers comes from ancient times.”
