Officials have said that the material from Mr Johnson’s ministerial “red box”, which is reportedly sent to his phone for “administrative ease”, does not break the rules.
However, campaigners claim that the use of insecure apps and messaging services by ministers and officials is “rampant” and poses a security risk.
Mr Johnson will face six questions from Sir Keir and two from the SNP’s Ian Blackford, who represents the third-largest party.
