BREAKING: London ‘acid’ attack as man has substance thrown in face in drive-by

The victim, 21, was in his car when a vehicle pulled up beside him in Edmonton.

A heartless attacker then hurled a substance in his force, forcing him to be taken to hospital.

His injuries are not life threatening.

The savage attack happened on Monday in Chequers Road.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “At around 11:46pm on Monday, June 17, police on patrol in Edmonton were stopped by a man reporting a substance had been thrown in his face.

“It was reported that the victim, aged 21, was parked up in the driver’s seat of a car when another vehicle pulled up beside him on Chequers Road”

“One of the occupants of the second vehicle then threw liquid into the victim’s face.

“He was taken to hospital where his injuries were declared not life changing or life threatening.

“Work continues to determine what the substance was.

“Enquiries continue, no arrests have been made.”
