WWE legend Ric Flair wants to ‘wrestle again’ aged 74 – even he says its ‘crazy’
Legendary WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has admitted that he wants to have another wrestling match . . . at the age of 74, after already retiring twice.
Until July 2022, Flair hadn't wrestled since his time in Impact Wrestling in 2011 when he took on Sting, when it was thought that he had finally ended a career that spanned a staggering 50 years. He had appeared for WWE many times since then, mainly managing his daughter Charlotte, but the itch to return to the ring never went away.
However, the 16-time world champion took to the ring again last year for what was thought to be one final time to team with his son-in-law and AEW star, Andrade to take on Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.

Despite pretty much the entire wrestling world uniting in horror at the terrible showing by Flair – which ended with him bleeding heavily and barely able to stand. It was also thought that he passed out for a few seconds after the bout.
Now Flair wants to come out of retirement once more. He told Chris Van Vliet earlier this week: “I want to wrestle again right now. Isn’t it crazy? I feel like because, Ricky Morton, the guy that I should have chosen for my last match would have been great.
“Ricky Morton is still wrestling – you know what the best thing for me about it was, is I forced myself to really get in shape. I’ve heard this from guys over the years, when they were older, I was in my prime. The older guys would say, ‘Man, I’m tired of working out.'
“There gets a time when you just get bored working out. You don’t have a goal. I mean, they gave me a goal and I just attacked it. I didn’t stop drinking or anything but I was training literally training three hours a day, five days a week in the ring, or I was doing the sled, the ropes.

“Yeah, I got my bench press up for two and a quarter. I mean, so from being dead to all that was pretty cool.”
No details on any future ring return has been confirmed, however.
