Woman rescued from car moments after vehicle was swallowed by a giant sinkhole
A woman's car was swallowed by a giant sinkhole after she was rescued from facing an identical fate.
Trapped in her car at an intersection in El Paso, Texas, on Tuesday evening, the small white sedan, began to sink in water before intervention from some bystanders and firefighters rescued the woman from being lost to a sinkhole.
The volunteers appeared to use tools to keep the backend of the car above water while the others were seen heroically pulling the woman out of the car's rear windshield to safety.

The entire ordeal was caught on camera as video was filmed by Enrique Duenas-Aguilar, the public information officer with the El Paso Fire Department.
Moments after the woman was rescued from the sinking car, the car sank deeper and deeper, and within just minutes, it was almost completely submerged in the sinkhole with just the back of the trunk visible.
Duenas-Aguilar said that the incident happened at around 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday (August 9).
The three firefighters who responded were treated for minor injuries from when they broke the back window, while the woman rescued from the car was subsequently transported to medical care as her condition was classed as stable, he said.
Additional footage from the scene shows that part of the road was completely covered in mud and water due to the sinkhole while a traffic light that leads to a nearby highway was knocked down.

The sinkhole opened after a water main broke, authorities said.
It news comes after a gigantic sinkhole, big enough to swallow Arc de Triomphe was found in Chile.
The sinkhole doubled its initial size as its now 160ft (50m) across and 656ft (200m) deep and is so big that it could fit London's BT Tower inside.
