Woman filmed in pyjamas for Channel 5 show sues for £100,000 claiming her 'privacy was invaded'
A WOMAN who was filmed in her pyjamas for a fly-on-the-wall telly show is suing for £100,000.
Neelam Zarghune says Channel 5’s Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away! invaded her privacy.
Her lawyers claim footage from body cameras worn by bailiffs was used in the show without her consent.
Nearly 1.5million who watched the 2017 episode saw Neelam, then 19, in tears.
She refused the film crew permission to enter her flat in Hounslow, West London.
But her writ claims she was deceived when footage from the bailiffs’ bodycams was passed to Channel 5.
She said the surreptitious film of her in her pyjamas was a “humiliating ordeal”.
Bailiffs were chasing £1,700 in unpaid parking fines linked to Neelam’s car.
It was owed by her then boyfriend.
Papers at London’s High Court show Neelam, now 23, has lodged her privacy claim against C5, show maker Brinkworth Films and the bailiffs DCBL.
She wants up to £100,000 in damages and a gagging order to prevent footage being aired again.
