William Loyd Todd Cagle, suspect of South Carolina murder, arrested in Denver
A homicide suspect out of South Carolina was arrested in Denver by local and federal authorities.
William Loyd Todd Cagle, 48, is wanted by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office on felony arrest warrants for investigation of murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to a U.S. Marshals Service news release.
Cagle is a suspect in the death of Terry Ann Chermak, 49, described as his girlfriend, after they both were reported missing earlier this month, the release said. Chermak’s body was found Tuesday.
Cagle was arrested at a Denver hotel on Tuesday without incident. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, Homeland Security, Denver Sheriff Department and Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest. He is being held at the downtown Denver Jail and awaits extradition to South Carolina.
