Brits will be able to get their hand on a pint for just 99p tomorrow as Wetherspoons lowers its prices.

Flying in the face of Dry January, the pub chain is launching a sale across 560 of its pubs in England, Wales, and Scotland, which will see some of its drinks become even more affordable.

The tipples will mean revellers can enjoy a beer despite the ongoing cost of living crisis, which has threatened to drive drinkers out of pubs and boozers as the cost of beer and bills alike skyrockets, LadBible reported.

Starting tomorrow (January 3), a Ruddles Best will set you back 99p in England, while in Wales it will set you back £1.10 thanks to licensing laws.

Similar laws in Scotland mean the real ale will also cost £1.10 – but the sale will start a day later on January 4.

A bottle of Beck's or a single measure of Bell's Whisky with a mixer will also cost 99p.

Meanwhile, pints of Bud Light, Stowford Press Dark Berry Cider and Stowford Press Apple Cider will all cost £1.69.

Carlsberg fans will have to pay £1.99 and those who prefer a stout will be able to get their hands on a Guinness for £2.89.

And for the millions of people swearing off the booze for the first month of the year, there are plenty of non-alcoholic drinks available in the sale too, with Beck's Blue also priced at 99p and other low and no-alcohol beers costing as little as £1.49.

Soft drinks and coffee will also only cost 99p too, and coffees come with free refills.

Food is also included in the January sale.

For breakfast, served until 11.30, pubgoers can enjoy a MOMA porridge for £1.49, the muffin deal for £1.99 or the breakfast wrap deal for £2.49, with the deals including a hot drink.

Meanwhile a 3oz burger with chips and a soft drink will cost a measly £4.49.

The sale will run until January 14.

The chain's founder, Tim Martin, said that as many retailers hold sales in January, it's the "perfect time to have a sale in the pub too".

"The range of drinks and food on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes," he said.

"This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.

"I believe that the January Sale will prove popular with our customers. As always, staff at the pub will serve customers responsibly."
