Urgent warning after pregnant woman is SHOT in the stomach by teens armed with BB guns lurking in bushes at park
A MUM-TO-BE was shot in the stomach with a BB gun as she walked her dogs through a picturesque country park.
The victim, who is 27 weeks pregnant, is believed to have been targeted by a gang of youths.
She was walking in Royal Victoria park in Netley, near Southampton, when she was struck twice by plastic pellets.
One of the bullets hit her hip and the second hit her torso near her stomach.
Cops are now calling for anyone with information to come forward.
They said the 28-year-old was left with "redness and soreness" following the attack at 1pm yesterday.
An officer said: "We're appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward after a woman was shot at with a BB-type gun at the Royal Victoria Country Park.
"The victim was walking her dogs.
"She spotted a group of teenagers in the bushes in an adjacent field and was subsequently shot at twice with BB pellets – one striking her hip and one striking near her stomach.
"The woman – who is 27 weeks pregnant – suffered minor injuries as a result.
"The teenagers allegedly fled the scene.
"One is described as being around 15 and wearing a dark tracksuit and a hoody.

"We have conducted initial police enquiries but now asking members of the public to come forward if they were in the area at the time.
"Did you see what happened? Did you notice anyone or a group of people acting suspiciously?"
