Underpaid nurses who turned to OnlyFans banned from making cash with steamy pics
Underpaid nurses are banned from selling content on adult site OnlyFans.
While the world faces a cost-of-living crisis, many people from all industries are turning to outlets such as OnlyFans in order to make some extra cash.
But angry bosses in New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, have banned nursing staff from doing so.

According to Vice News, an email was sent by the Nursing and Midwifery Council warning staff not to join the website after it emerged some staff had taken to selling raunchy content online.
The email banned staff from joining the site and said that their role as a council was to “protect public safety”.
Headed “OnlyFans – Are you breaching the professional standards by subscribing to online content services?”, the message states: “The role of the council is to protect public safety.
“This involves the Council proactively informing practitioners of current trends and promoting compliance with professional standards, including how inappropriate conduct on social media can lead to complaints of unprofessional conduct or misconduct.

“The social media guidance is clear on the obligations of nurses and midwives to maintain professional boundaries, and where relevant, the Nursing and Midwifery Board may consider social media use in your private life (even where there is no identifiable link to you as a registered health practitioner) if it raises concerns about your fitness to hold registration.”
The email gives an example of how a nurse joining OnlyFans could impact on their job.
They claim that a patient could recognise a nurse from her “OnlyFans page,” which could “create a difficult situation in the workplace”.

It also claims that a “senior manager” could recognise a “junior” from their content and give them “preferential rostering,” which could in-turn end up with that senior manager messaging the staff member on OnlyFans in return for “a favour”.
The Daily Star contacted NHS England to find out if similar rules apply and was told that the national contract used in England is called Agenda for Change, and it is "doubtful" as to whether or not an OnlyFans clause was included in that.
