On Monday, the Kremlin said the Turkish leader phoned the Russian President “on the eve of the upcoming Russian-Turkish summit meeting in the near future.” In a statement, the Kremlin highlighted “an exchange of views on the situation around Ukraine continued, including in the context of coordinating efforts to ensure the safety of navigation in the Black Sea and grain exports to world markets.” Global food prices are at a record high as millions of tons of grain remain trapped in Ukraine.
