Two people shot in downtown Denver as Nuggets parade wraps up

Two people were shot Thursday afternoon in downtown Denver nearby the city’s celebratory parade for the Nuggets’ NBA finals and about the time the celebration wrapped up in Civic Center.

The shooting happened in the area of 17th and Curtis streets, according to a 1:14 p.m. Denver Police Department tweet. Details on the condition of the two victims was not immediately released.

Photographs and video on the thread of the DPD tweet show people streaming by the scene, where two e-scooters were laid down on the sidewalk nearby a pool of blood.
