Two men were shot in a Bronx subway station Saturday night in what police said was a robbery gone bad.

A 40-year-old man with a gun approached another man and demanded his property at the 182nd-183rd Street D train station about 6 p.m., police sources said.

In the ensuing struggle his gun went off, striking both men. The alleged robber, was hit in the face and the 21-year-old victim in the torso sources said.

They were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and expected to survive. A .38-caliber gun and five shell casings were recovered, sources said.

Charges were not immediately filed.

Trains were bypassing the station because of the incident, the MTA said.

Earlier in the Bronx, a 24-year-old passenger in a car was shot in the right calf around 5:40 p.m. at the intersection of West 240th Street and Broadway, police said. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

A man was also shot in the arm at 6:10 p.m. Saturday at 740 45th St. in Sunset Park, police said. Further details were not immediately available.
