Juan Williams, co-host of The Five, wrote a scathing opinion piece on Monday claiming that Trump will only be remembered for his tragic miscalculations during the Covid-19 pandemic. Williams has been a frequent critic of the former president on his panel show which has incurred Trump’s ire in the past.

Writing in The Hill, Williams wrote that Trump “produced the greatest failure of presidential leadership in history.”

Williams condemned Trump over his utter failure to handle the pandemic which resulted in the worst Covid-19 death toll globally.

In his opinion piece, he compared the Trump administration’s management of the pandemic with that of current president, Joe Biden.

“In January, Trump’s last month in the White House, the nation had the highest number of COVID-19 deaths since the pandemic began,” said Williams. “Shortly after he left office, the virus death toll topped 500,000.

“With Biden in the White House, the nation has turned that around in 50 days.”

Williams also blasted the former President’s handling of vaccine production and rollout, reminding us that when he left office, there was a shortage of vaccines and “no plan.”

“COVID-19 infection rates and deaths are sharply down while the number of people getting shots has more than doubled to over 2 million a day,” said Williams.

“Biden promised 100 million vaccinations in his first 100 days in office. He is on track to do it.

“And now Biden says there will be enough vaccine for all Americans by the end of May.”

Williams also pointed to Trump’s “whiny” response to president Biden’s coronavirus address last week.

Trump wrote: “I hope everyone remembers when they’re getting the COVID-19 (often referred to as the China Virus) Vaccine, that if I wasn’t President, you would be getting that beautiful ‘shot’ for 5 years, at best, and probably wouldn’t be getting it at all.

“I hope everyone remembers!”
