Tiger King star Jeff Lowe WANTED in Las Vegas for court no-show days after DUI arrest in Oklahoma
TIGER King star Jeff Lowe is WANTED in Las Vegas for not showing up in court just days after he was arrested for a DUI in Oklahoma.
A clerk at the Las Vegas Municipal Court told TMZ that there are currently four bench warrants out for the 56-year-old's arrest.
The warrants stem from a case in 2017 when Lowe was charged with three counts of not having a permit or the correct license for wild animals.
The third count was for doing business without a license.
A year later in 2018, Lowe was convicted of illegally using animals to make money in Las Vegas.
He agreed to stay out of trouble in a bid to avoid jail time.
The clerk told TMZ that the bench warrants were issued because Lowe was due in court today for a hearing but did not show up.
The Netflix star now has to post $20,5000 to deal with the warrants and get a new court date.
On Saturday Jeff and his wife Lauren, 30, were booked at 4 am, both for driving under the influence.
Police have alleged Lauren got out of the driver's seat and swapped places with Jeff, who then took over driving.
When officers chased the car, they claim Jeff carried out an illegal lane change before pulling over.
Both Jeff and Lauren were said to be slurring his speech and had "a strong odor commonly associated with the consumption of an alcoholic beverage".
The police report notes Lauren "had a thick slurred speech" and was also "unsteady on her feet".
Last year Lowe said that Carole Baskin will not be taking any of the animals from Joe Exotic’s zoo after she was granted ownership of the park in a bombshell ruling last week.
The animal activist is the owner of Big Cat Rescue in Florida and now her competitor Joe's 16.4-acre G.W. Exotic Animal Memorial Park, which was under the control of his ex-business partner Jeff.
In May, Joe Exotic revealed he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The 58-year-old begged to be freed from prison in order to get “proper medical care.”
Joe tweeted: “John Phillips has received my medical records from FMC Fort Worth and my PSA count came back very high for prostate cancer.
“The prison has approved testing to verify what stage it is in.
“My body is tired, I have lost a tremendous amount of weight, the mouth sores are out of control, I throw up more than I eat.”
