A student who was sent home from school due to her "inappropriate" outfit ended up never going back after the situation caused her stress.
Karis Wilson was sent home crying in February 2021 after she was told her clothes made a male student teacher feel "awkward" and another female teacher remarked that the attire reminded her of a "lingerie outfit".
The teen ended up never returning to NorKam Secondary School in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, to complete her studies but did go back to celebrate her graduation with friends.

And the "resilient" young woman has since started university in Alberta after seeming to put the incident behind her.
And her family has continued to have her back after the ordeal, with her dad, Christopher Wilson, having stood up for her from day one.
In a touching tribute recently posted to mark her 19th birthday, Christopher wrote: "Karis Wilson you are beautiful, you are resilient, you are smart, you are compassionate, you are funny and most of all I just love being around you.
"Happy 19th birthday sweetheart."
Karis was wearing a knee-length black dress with lace trim over a white turtleneck with long sleeves when teachers at her school started complaining about the outfit.
Former Meta employee said she got paid £155,000 a year to 'do nothing' at Facebook firm
After she was sent home Christopher told his daughter's story on a Facebook live video that went viral, amassing more than 100,000 views.
Christopher told the Daily Star last year: "She wasn't wearing it in a sexual manner. She wasn't wearing it for attention. She normally wears track pants and a hoody.
"She had a snowboarding accident a month or two ago and couldn't be active for a while. She had started going to the gym and feel better about herself.
"The one day she decided to wear a dress and feel good about herself, this is how they reacted."
Karis initially stayed out of school for a week and enraged viewers of Christopher's video started sending hate to the school.
But as her planned return date neared, Karis became nervous about what to wear to school.
"It became more about caring about what to wear to school than going for the education," Christopher said.
"She had lost more than a week of school and then she said, 'Dad, I don’t know what to wear to school'.
"She elaborated a little bit and said, 'Dad, if I wear just my track pants and hoodie, if I wear something comfortable, am I conforming? If I wear something I feel pretty in, am I trying to rub it in their face?'"
Karis went on to finish her high school education at home and seems to have finally put the ordeal behind her, posting pictures of herself wearing beautiful outfits to social media.
Christopher said the 19-year-old wouldn't change anything if she had the chance to go back and would do it all again.
