Teen TikTok star’s hero dad kills stalker after he shows up at house with gun

A teen TikTok star was saved by her policeman dad after he killed a creepy stalker who showed up outside their house with a gun.

The terrifying ordeal saw a man blast a front door open with his handgun to try and kill Ava Majury, a 15-year-old internet celebrity from Naples, Florida.

It came after a lengthy spell of harassment that saw her receive unwanted attention from 18-year-old stalker Eric Rohan Justin only weeks after signing up to the internet video platform in 2020.

Ava gained popularity quickly on TikTok and has one million followers between her three accounts, where she posts singing and dancing videos alongside those of her pulling practical jokes on her family.

But she told the New York Times that the darker side of her fame came when Rohan Justin tracked her down after buying personal details off her friends, including her telephone umber.

On one day in June 2021 the teenager arrived at the family home and began firing shots through the front door with a handgun, leading Ava and her two brothers to hide in their parent's bedroom.

Recalling the moment of terror, she told the newspaper: "All I remember was, I heard it, I felt it in my chest, and I looked up, and there was a hole in my door from the fragments."

The gun jammed on impact, causing the stalker to disappear for a moment. When he returned, her retired police officer father was standing at the door.

Mr Marjury asked the assailant to drop his weapon — and shot him dead when he refused.

No charges were brought against the father as a result of Florida's 'stand your ground' law, which permits homeowners to use lethal force against intruders if there is a clear threat to life.

Police searching the stalker's two mobile phones after his death found that he had saved hundreds of photographs of Ava alongside some of her TikTok videos.

Justin's father shared his shock at the incident, telling newspaper: "He was a nice kid. I’m at a loss for words. I don’t know what went bad with him. He made a bad choice."

Despite the horrifying close-shave, the TikTok teen's parents have made the decision to let her stay on the platform for now, as her dad says the videos are "such a big part of her" that to take them away "would have been hard”.
