Super spreader party shows Omicron symptoms affecting fully vaccinated
China is suffering from more Covid-19 infections than ever before as 30 million people have been plunged into lockdown.
Strict measures have been introduced as Omicron which first hit the UK in November last year, sweeps through the country.
Due to a strict 'zero-Covid' strategy the soaring rate of infections in China remains low compared to that previously seen throughout the rest of the world.
The country has taken some of the most drastic measures since the start of the pandemic, even though its caseload is low compared with other major countries because it has tethered itself tightly to a “zero-Covid” strategy.
An effective vaccine roll-out scheme in the UK means Brits are well protected against the virus which has left so many families grieving for loved ones over the past couple of years.
Defence against the worst of coronavirus though does not mean we are completely shielded from it so these are two early warning signs you might have it.
Scientists in Norway interviewed 111 out of 117 party guests on November 26 2021 and found 66 had definitive cases of Covid-19 and 15 showed possible cases of the virus.
Research found 89% of the 111 participants were dosed up on two shots of an mRNA vaccine and none had received a booster shot.
Government must reintroduce Covid rules to avoid 'brutal' Easter, NHS bosses warn
The results published in Eurosurveillance, an infectious disease and epidemiology journal showed the fully vaccinated partygoers shared eight key symptoms.
They included:
- Cough
- Runny nose
- Fatigue
- Sore throat
- Headache
- Muscle pain
- Fever
- Sneezing
The above list is more or less stated in order of how common the symptoms were felt with coughing the most frequently seen and sneezing the least.
Nausea has been added to the list by public health experts but the crossover of of Omicron symptoms and those experienced from the common cold makes it extremely difficult to determine which is which.

The first signs though could be the best indicator that what someone has is covid and not anything else and that is fatigue and dizziness/ fainting.
According to Professor Tim Spector, who made the ZOE Symptom Study App, around 50% of “‘new colds’ currently are, in fact, Covid”.
Fatigue is not just feeling knackered but suffering from bodily pain with sore or weak muscles, headaches, and even blurry vision and loss of appetite.
