Summit County man who back over wife charged with vehicular homicide
A 66-year-old Summit County man faces a vehicular homicide charge after backing over his wife as she was walking behind the car in their driveway.
The preliminary investigation found that Bradley Wilson was under the influence of alcohol or prescription medication, according to Summit County Sheriff Jaime FitzSimons.
Wilson was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Summit County Detention Facility.
This accident happened Friday morning and Wilson dialed 911 to notify police that “he was pulling out of his driveway when he backed over his wife, who was walking behind the car,” according to a news release issued Monday.
Wilson’s wife, Jennifer Connor, was pronounced dead after she was taken to the Summit Medical Center.
Wilson was not injured.
“This is a community tragedy,” FitzSimons said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that has been impacted.”
