Strip club shut after claims ’10 customers had £250k stolen when drinks spiked’
A Soho-based strip club has temporarily shut down after allegations were aired concerning 10 customers who had their drinks spiked and were robbed of £250,000.
Vanity Bar and Nightclub in London's West End has seen the group of punters claim they blacked out and woke up some time later to see their finances in ruin.
One bloke has even claimed he was robbed of £98,000 in a series of fraudulent transactions after his drink was allegedly spiked.

Many of the alleged victims in the controversy are said to have no memory of what happened after they paid for private dances at the strip club.
They claim that they awoke however to find that thousands of pounds were missing from their bank accounts, with records showing the transfer of funds.
Westminster City Council has since temporarily suspended the venue's license, while the Met Police have submitted evidence of a breach in conditions.
A total of 23 conditions were placed on the club's license by police, including that of staff retraining, with a raft of documents put forward to councillors detailing a slate of allegations.
One bloke claims to have checked his bank account and found that £19,000 was missing.

Another 49-year-old man is said to have begun to have a "hazy" memory, and woke up with two needle marks on his hand, telling police he had "no memory" of certain events that night.
The man added: "I immediately gathered my things and left. I checked my bank account and found a total of £98,000 taken in various transactions to various locations. I found two needle marks on my hand and believe as a result I was drugged."
Vanity club has denied the allegations and submitted six statements from the public regarding the spiking or theft allegations, with lawyers for the club alleging that customers' wives or girlfriends saw large transactions, prompting the men to shift the blame.
