Spain’s hottest city where temperatures regularly exceed 50C
While summer seems to have passed the UK, much of Europe is still experiencing one of its hottest seasons on record.
Tourists from the blazing continent have even been reported to have travelled to the UK specifically to revel in the cold, wet weather.
Temperatures higher than 40C have been recorded in various countries across Europe this year, with some almost nearing the 50C mark.

Córdoba is regularly touted as one of Spain’s hottest cities, somewhere that is often summery even in the winter months.

The autonomous region is also home to Seville, which often tops the charts as one of the country’s warmest settlements.
Córdoba regularly sees temperatures of 35C at the height of summer but has smashed that average this year.

Even before this, however, Córdoba was breaking records.
In April, the city saw a temperature of 38.7C hit — the highest figure since records began.

While it is hot and several travel warnings have been issued, tourists continue to flock to Córdoba.
Last month, the iconic Mosque-Cathedral was on track to break its own record of visitors, confirming its position as Córdoba’s most visited monument.
In fact, the Mosque-Cathedral has soon become one of Europe’s best-rated attractions itself, alongside the ranks of St Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City, Miniatur Wunderland, Germany, and The Alhambra in Spain.
