‘Shots fired at Drake after party’ at hotel after Wireless Festival appearance
Gunshots were fired near a party at a Central London hotel reportedly attended by Drake.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to the Rosewood Hotel in High Holborn shortly before 4am on Saturday (September 11) to reports of shots close to the gathering at which the Canadian rapper was said to be present.
It is not clear how many shots were fired and why. No one was hurt, MyLondon reports.
Drake, 34, gave a surprise performance at Wireless Festival held in Crystal Palace Park on Friday night.
It is thought the event at the hotel was an after-party following his appearance.
Following the incident, a Met Police spokesman said: “We were called at 3.56am to a firearm discharged at or near to the Rosewood London hotel in High Holborn.
“Officers attended and put a crime scene in place.
“Enquiries are underway to establish circumstances.
“There have been no reports of any person with gunshot injuries.”
Police later confirmed Andrew Cross, 38, of Station Way, Greenwich, was arrested on Sunday.
