A 13-year-old student who died after falling from Tower Bridge on his way to school has been pictured.
Zaheid Ali was seen getting off a bus going towards Ark Globe Academy in Elephant and Castle, south London, on April 20.
The Year 8 pupil and a friend got off a stop early and did not appear that morning, Headteacher Matt Jones said in a letter to parents.
Zaheid was formally identified after his body was recovered from the Thames in London on April 28.
His family have released two sweet pictures of their beloved son.
In one, Zaheid is seen dressed in his yellow and black school uniform. In the other, he’s pictured relaxing on a sofa.
An inquest into his tragic death is now set to take place.
A spokesperson for City of London Police said: "The family of Zaheid Ali has now formally identified the body recovered from the Thames on April 28 as that of Zaheid, who was seen falling into the river on April 20.
"Our thoughts are with his family and friends."
Following the recovery of Zaheid's body, Ark Globe Academy's executive principal Matt Jones said: "We are very saddened to hear that a body has been found and that the police believe it is the missing student of ours.
"Our hearts go out to his family and friends. "As a school community, we are pulling together ensuring all our students are supported at this difficult time."
City of London Police officers, river police, firefighters, the RNLI and a police helicopter were involved in the initial search.

An eyewitness previously told The Sun: “A woman who was just walking past with her boyfriend grabbed a float and jumped into the river.
"She said 'why isn't anybody helping him' before jumping in herself.
"The woman jumped in seconds after but all she could bring back was his school jacket and his bag.”
