Sabina Nessa: Ex-Domino’s driver pleads GUILTY to murder of primary school teacher found battered to death in park

A FORMER Domino's driver has admitted murdering Sabina Nessa who was "violently" attacked just five minutes from her home.

The primary school teacher, 28, was ambushed in a "premeditated and predatory" stranger attack as she walked to a pub in Kidbrooke, South East London, to meet an old pal.

Sabina was battered with a 2ft-long weapon before she was carried away unconscious to a nearby park on September 17 last year.

Her body was found by a dog walker covered in leaves near the OpenSpace community centre the following day just 200 yards from home.

Koci Selamaj, 36, today pleaded guilty to murdering Sabina when he appeared at the Old Bailey.

The Albanian national had driven from his home in Eastbourne, East Sussex, to London to attack a woman using "extreme violence".

Chilling CCTV footage captured the monster ambushing Sabina as she innocently walked close to her home.

He then battered her repeatedly with a weapon – believed to be a traffic triangle – before carrying her away unconscious.

Selamaj is believed to have strangled her in undergrowth in what is suspected to have been a sexually motivated attack.

He was arrested in Eastbourne at a ground-floor flat behind a row of shops and takeaways days after the brutal killing.

Until recently, he lived with his girlfriend in the area but they are said to have split up last summer.

He had been working as a Domino's pizza delivery driver until July and owned a garage.

His arrest came after police appealed for information about a suspect caught on CCTV at a nearby apartment block holding a red item.

Cops had also asked for help to trace a car, thought to be silver, to which the man may have had “access” near the murder scene.

Tributes poured in for the "amazing" primary school teacher after her shocking death.

Hundreds of mourners gathered for a candlelight vigil to remember Sabina.

TRAGIC END

Her sister, Jebina, broke down in tears as she paid an emotional tribute.

"We have lost an amazing, caring, beautiful sister, who left this world far too early," she said.

“Sabina loved her family. It feels like we’re stuck in a bad dream and cannot get out of it."

As she struggled through tears she said: “Our world is shattered. No family should go through what our family is going through.

"She didn't reach her 29th birthday [in October]."

The Duchess of Cambridge – who left flowers at the vigil for Sarah Everard – said her thoughts were with Sabina's family and friends.

She tweeted that she was “saddened by the loss of another innocent young woman on our streets”.

Sabina's death also sparked outrage after she joined a growing list of women killed in public spaces in London in recent months.

Campaigners are demanding action to tackle violence against women in the wake of the tragedies.
