The Queen has been forced to give up horse riding after feeling some “discomfort”, an insider has claimed.
Her Majesty was told to stop taking part in her beloved hobby in early September after a trip to Scotland.
According to The Sun, the monarch has not been out on a horse since she took a summer break at Balmoral Castle.
A source from the Scottish Castle said that the Queen was “in quite a bit of discomfort”.
The 95-year-old is known for her love of horse riding and is an avid racing fan, having regularly been photographed on horseback both during her reign, but also during her time as princess.
She is determined to get back in the saddle soon and in the meantime is already back to work, carrying out virtual audiences from Windsor Castle.
She spoke with Chancellor Rishi Sunak ahead of Wednesday’s Budget and also had her weekly meeting with the Prime Minister via telephone, after announcing that she would not be attending the Cop26 UN climate change conference in Glasgow.
